Meet Australian "Ewen McEwen"

So you thought Apple and Moses were strange choices? How about a name that's palindromic (sort of). Robbie sprinted to victory in today's stage of the Tour of Italy, but his son Ewen stole the post-race show. Full Velonews race report, results and photos hereREUTERS/Stefano Rellandini
Australian Robbie McEwen (R) celebrates on podium with his son Ewen after the 197-km second stage of the Giro d'Italia cycling race from Mons to Charleroi Marcinelle, Belgium May 7, 2006. McEwen won the stage while Italy's defending champion Paolo Savoldelli took the leader's pink jersey. The race started in Belgium and will end in Milan on May 28.

Robbie's wee one better watch his back. My 4-year-old already has Ewen's picture on his bedroom wall . . . with a target around it. This season, my tyke's learning how to take a wheel. And twenty or so years from now, he'll well know which wheel to take.
