Christian Turks fear more attacks

"There were so many stab wounds that we couldn't count them," Hurriyet quoted Dr. Murat Ugras as saying. "It was clearly torture."

Killings show Turkey unfit for EU-European right

ROME – Italian and German conservatives on Thursday said the killing of three Christians at a Bible publishing house in Turkey showed Ankara could not control violent Islamists and was thus unfit to join Europe.

'Yet another attack against Christian values. Turkey should forget about the European Union,' said Massimo Polledri, a senator from the anti-immigrant Northern League.

Killings show Turkey unfit for EU-European right

Recent statistics says, 85% of Turks do not want to be in the EU.

See the day Turks rejected the whole idea of EU and embraced unconditional independence.

This is not isolated. www.thereligionofpeace.com.

Happens nearly every day. Muslims kiling non muslims because of their religion. Why?

An otherwise culturally rich and historically vibrant country torn down by a "peaceful religion". What a shame.

There is no such thing... These are all provocations. Stop being a Muslim basher.

Here is a disturbing story:

Friday April 27, 2007
TURKEY: FOUR STREET EVANGELISTS JAILED
Three released, one could be deported; top Muslim official defends missionary work.

ISTANBUL, April 27 (Compass Direct News) – Police jailed four Christian street evangelists in Istanbul for “missionary activity” this week, even as government officials openly defended the right of all religious groups to carry out evangelistic work in Turkey. Officials released U.S. citizen David Byle this evening, more than 48 hours after he was arrested along with a Korean and two Turkish Christians, his wife said. Christian sources maintained that Turkey plans to deport the Korean believer, though further details remain unknown. The four men were detained Wednesday afternoon (April 25) while sharing their faith with passersby at a park in Istanbul’s Taksim district. The arrests occurred in the midst of tense national debate over the legitimacy of Christian missionary activity, sparked by the gruesome killing of three Christian men in southeastern Turkey last week. “Missionaries are more dangerous than terror organizations,” Niyazi Guney, Ministry of Justice director general of laws, reportedly commented only a day after the murders.

Yes, yes post it over and over you provocator. You broken record. Real people knows the truth. You just sit there and keep spinning and smearing. Suits you fine.

anonymous, I assume you are referring to me. I didn't write the article, I didn't know the people who were arrested, and I certainly didn't arrest them. ALL I have done is post a link to an article. How does that make me a "provocator"?

"Real people knows the truth." Are you saying that the article is a lie? If so, share with us the truth!

"You just sit there and keep spinning and smearing."

The people who arrested these 4 are the ones who are smearing the image of Turkey! I, personally, have done nothing to smear Turkey's image. If Turks are worried about the image of their country and government, they should make a change. I am just pointing out the image of Turkey that I am getting from the media, based on the actions of your people and government.

Don't kill the messanger... Your anger should be directed at the people who are running the country.

I share nothing with you, your intentions are all out there in your posts.

'The people who arrested these 4 are the ones who are smearing the image of Turkey!'
What do you care about Turkey's image? Why do you care if you do at all?

'I, personally, have done nothing to smear Turkey's image. If Turks are worried about the image of their country and government, they should make a change. '
Who cares what do you do? Try if you want to..
Turks don't care about image all created by Western media moguls. None of these biased liers ans spinners represents any country or government.

'Don't kill the messanger... Your anger should be directed at the people who are running the country.'
I'm not angry to you, or anyone...
Why do you love telling everyone what to do? Why do you think you have that privilidge? You're real funny...Let me guess American, you love hearing your own words, over and over...

mc2. I totally disagree with your assessment of Sean. I also disagree strongly with Sean on many of his beliefs but calling him names is not going to change his opinions.

Why don't you post about why you think Sean is wrong rather than just insulting him.

Thanks Gulay. I won't respond since you already did.
