Mehmetcik refers to any enlisted man in Turkish army. Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan gave the go-ahead on Tuesday for all necessary measures to be taken against Kurdish rebels, including a possible incursion into northern Iraq where many are hiding. "Ataturkcu"?? And against the U.S??

Sure . . . blame the ones providing the guns instead of the dispute and the disputed . . .

the fight would go on even if it was with sticks and stones . . .

I say don't fight fire with fire . . . surely the signs of emotional provovation are right there staring at our face with each terrorist killing, but is this really an attempt the start of something new?

Don't fall into the trap Turkey . . . but then again the (impatient) Turks complain about having waited for too long. Of course, this might have short-term satisfaction, but long term repurcussions . . .

It would be easier and cheaper to give Kurdistan to the people who live there . . . but I give up!

Turkey: 70 million people. 1 million military.
